I have been to the Salvation army twice the men in the program are very encouraging however the staff was not they continually found trivial reasons to turn me away
For example they said" it seems like you took a long time to grow your hair I don't want you to cut it if you are not sure"
When i said I'm sure they then said we will have to drug test you before you come in. When I agreed to drug test and waited in the lobby no one came foward to drug test me and I was told to leave. It seems more effort was taken to detour me from the program than to welcome me.

Very unprofessional staff workers there. The guy that does the intake is very rude and had a condescending attitude. I didn't even read the chance to enter the program because he was yelling at me for not properly filling out the application while rolling his eyes in frustration. Then proceeded to kick me out and told me to find another rehabilitation facility. I do not recommend this place for anyone who genuinely wants to get help.

The Salvation saved my life, I've been here more then once, and decided it was to time to take full advantage of the program and what the Salvation Army offers, I received my forklift certification, I graduated the 6 month program, and I'm now an employee. This place is what you make it, I found myself, my relationship with God has grown tremendously and I'm proud to say that I'm clean today, because I choose to be. Everything is a result of our choices, make the right one. God bless

This place saved my life! The program here is great. They have counseling, inside and outside meetings nice positive atmosphere You do work 40hrs a week that pays for room and board. When it's time to relax there is a gym, 3 big tv's and two pool tables. If you are looking to change your life this is the place to be!
