Therapy is amazing I especially like David, Renee and everyone in the therapy department. They're golden. The administrator stops by to talk with me. He's very concerned about my welfare and getting the things I need and want. The concierges Lorena and Matthew are so helpful, they stop by every night to make sure I have the cereal I like. I would also like to thank Pedro for helping me fix my TV even though he's in therapy he took the time to help which was very nice.

Our experience at The Pearl was devastating and deeply disappointing.
My grandmother was transferred to The Pearl after a hospital stay for pneumonia. The transition happened late on a Friday, and there were no other options available on such short notice. The plan was a 1–2 week stay for oxygen monitoring and physical rehab. She had made good progress in the hospital and was close to her recovery goals, so we expected a short and stable stay.
Upon arrival, we were comforted by a warm welcome from the concierge team and were reassured she would receive excellent care. We were told she’d be placed in a renovated unit, but the reality of the space was quite different — dark, outdated, and not conducive to healing. Attempts to follow up with the concierge staff after admission were met with silence. Phone calls went unanswered, and messages were not returned.
Over the course of her stay, a family member visited almost every day. Each time, we noticed a troubling pattern: she seemed more disoriented, weaker, and was losing weight. She told us she hadn’t been cleaned or assisted for long periods of time, and often hadn’t been encouraged or helped to eat. She expressed confusion and discomfort at all times during her stay.
We observed that basic environmental conditions were neglected — a broken clock in her room, a TV blaring for hours, and windows that remained shut. It was an isolating, disorienting environment.
At one point, an IV was placed for hydration. Family members noticed signs of infection that had not been addressed, which prompted us to have her transferred back to the hospital. She passed away just three days later.
Administrative communication was also extremely poor. We found it nearly impossible to get in touch with staff coordinating her care. Appointments were ignored, emails went unanswered, and calls led to full voicemail boxes. When personal belongings went missing — including a hearing aid — it took weeks of follow-up to even reach the right department. Only after appearing in person and escalating our concerns were we able to resolve the reimbursement issue.
We left The Pearl with the overwhelming feeling that this facility is understaffed, poorly organized, and not equipped to provide the level of care promised. We saw signs of apathy at every level — from daily care to administrative oversight. The experience caused lasting harm to our family and, in our view, should serve as a warning to others.

Good morning , at first I want to say thank you too The Pearl staff for making my grandmother feel exceptionally comfortable at this stage of her life. My grandmother is my Everything !! So to the staff and management team Thank you. Mrs. Jessica Herrera thank you for being completely transparent and patient with me. Always a pleasure to speak to you , thank you for always going above and beyond to assist me with matters concerning my love one. I know that your job can’t be easy, but I thank you for Always making time to get back with me, i’m doing everything you can to resolve or issue a question that I may have.
Secondly, I saw a review by Mr Elliot. I’m so sorry that you feel that way however that has not been my experience with The Pearl. Sometimes we tend to want things right then at that very moment ,and life doesn’t always happen that way . However I can say is whenever I reach out to Mrs. Herrera always get back to me and is very delicate with the matter concerning my grandmother.
On behalf of me and my family we thank you All .. I pray blessings and love over each and everyone of you. Have a wonderful day.

My mom, Trudy, is staying here at The Pearl at Fort Lauderdale Rehabilitation & Nursing Center and so far everyone has been very helpful and nice!
The OT and PT sessions have been great and so have been the people working with her during her exercises. They are caring and compassionate people who want the best outcome for their patients.
A friend of mine who is a Registered Nurse and visits many other facilities recommended The Pearl at Fort Lauderdale Rehabilitation & Nursing Center over the others. Raffio
